Carlsbad- Mix. Mingle. Smile!

Husband-and-Wife Dentist and Anesthesiologist Hosts Free Community Health Day

Dr. Safina LeClair of Carlsbad will answer attendees’ dental questions, and Bronson LeClair, MD, a board-certified anesthesiologist, joins a day of hands-on stations on sedation, whitening and how oral health connects to the rest of the body.

CARLSBAD, Calif., Sept. 24, 2026 — The Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce will lead the ribbon cutting that opens Ranunculus Dental’s free community education day on Friday, Oct. 9. Coffee and refreshments begin at 8:30 a.m., and learning stations on dentistry and dental sedation run until 2 p.m.

Most people have a dental question they have never asked out loud. On Oct. 9, Ranunculus Dental, under new ownership, will invite the community in to ask it.

The 9 a.m. ribbon cutting opens a day of learning, with stations set up throughout the office. The event is open to the public, and no appointment is needed.

“Businesses that strengthen Carlsbad are the ones that open their doors and give something back,” said Bret Schanzenbach, President and CEO of the Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce. “We’re glad to welcome Ranunculus Dental under its new ownership. A free day where families can ask questions and learn about their health, with no strings attached, is exactly the kind of community investment we’re proud to celebrate.”

Dr. Safina LeClair recently became the practice’s new owner, and the community day is her first public welcome in that role.

“The best dental questions are often the ones people feel embarrassed to ask,” Dr. Safina LeClair said. “We want our first public community day to be about listening, so our neighbors get to know us before they ever need us.”

The practice’s own clinicians will lead the stations: Dr. Safina LeClair on how oral health connects to conditions elsewhere in the body, hygienist Kayla Dinh on teeth whitening, and hygienist Maurice Moore on dental lasers.

Special guest Bronson LeClair, MD, the practice’s staff anesthesiologist, will take questions about sedation and general anesthesia; the times he will be on site will be announced Oct. 8. Having an anesthesiologist on staff is uncommon in a general dental practice: it means anesthesia delivered through an IV, with vital signs monitored from start to finish, similar to a surgery center or hospital. The LeClairs are a husband-and-wife team: she plans the treatment, he handles the anesthesia.

Visitors can also drop an anonymous question into the Ask Anything Box, spin a prize wheel and take photos in the in-house gallery.
